Purpose of the Position

This long-term substitute will teach 3rd Grade, providing rigorous, engaging instruction aligned to the school and Archdiocesan curriculum. This position fulfills the full responsibilities of a classroom teacher for the duration of the assignment.

Employment in and by the Church is substantially different from secular employment. All employees must conduct themselves in a manner consistent with Catholic teaching and the mission of the Church. This position does not require the candidate to be Catholic, but all employees are expected to respect Catholic doctrine and practices. Teachers will be responsible for leading daily prayer, implementing the Religion curriculum (including PCYI content), and supervising students during school Mass.
